Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), together with partners from the tourism industry, participates in the Business/Mice & Leisure Mart (BLTM) held in Delhi, India from 31st January until 01st February 2020.
BLTM is one of the leading trade shows on Business, MICE and Leisure Travel in India. A total of 9 participants from 6 companies are participating along with MMPRC. The Maldives stand is showcased at a 54 square meter stand designed to represent the unique aspects available in Maldives.
This exclusive two-day B2B travel mart attracts a large number of visitors from India as it opens doors to India’s 6.5 million outbound luxury and MICE tourists, as well as the fastest growing business travel markets in the world. Based on figures from 2019 the fair had over 110 exhibitors and over 1200 trade buyers, representation from 24 different countries and 13 Indian states.
Based on the arrival figures of 2019, India is ranked in the 2nd position of the highest performing markets to the Maldives. Till December 2019 the arrivals were recorded as 166,030 with an 83.5% increase in arrivals compared to the previous year. MMPRC plans to continue this momentum of growth by conducting several marketing activities in India.
