MMPRC (Visit Maldives) takes part in the largest travel trade event held in the Maldives, TTM Maldives 2021. TTM Maldives 2021 is being held as a hybrid event from 28-30 November 2021.
The TTM Travel Summit conducted under TTM Maldives 2021 was held on 28th November at Meerumaa Events Conference Facility. It brought together leaders, industry shapers, and senior decision-makers who are professionally engaged with tourism in the Maldives. This year’s summit focused on “Future opportunities, new normal procedures and what is next to come in the hospitality industry of the Maldives.”
CEO and MD of MMPRC, Thoyyib Mohamed was a keynote speaker at the TTM Travel Summit 2021. During his speech, Thoyyib noted Maldives has observed a surge in travel and that the trust in the brand Maldives is currently at its highest. He said that the brand awareness campaigns MMPRC conducted over the last 18 months have been highly effective. He noted that globally, brand awareness has never been higher.
The TTM Travel Summit is followed by the TTM Fair, under which pre-scheduled meetings are held from 29th and 30th November at the Meerumaa Events Conference Facility. MMPRC is hosting the destination at a stand at the TTM fair by providing visitors the latest information about the destination. During this fair, MMPRC will market the destination as a safe haven, promote the resorts, hotels, guesthouses, liveaboards and the safety measures in place in these facilities, as well as unique experiences available for tourists in the Maldives. MMPRC is holding B2B meetings and networking sessions with industry stakeholders attending the in-person and hybrid components of TTM fair.
TTM Maldives 2021 is estimated to hold over 2000 pre-scheduled meetings among 350 travel trade professionals. Exhibitors and visitors of the event include hoteliers, suppliers, related industries, and travel industry professionals from Maldives and abroad who get the opportunity to network, negotiate and discover the latest industry opinions and trends in Maldives.
