Kaimoo Travels and Hotel Services Pvt. Ltd. wishes to reaffirm its strong commitment to Addu’s development. We have proudly operated Equator Village Maldives for over two decades and believe that Addu’s continued progress directly benefits both the region and our resort.
Equator Village Maldives operates under a valid lease agreement with the Ministry of Tourism, originally signed in 1999 and renewed in 2017. The lease includes the resort’s full compound, parts of which overlap with the planned route of the new road. This overlapping area houses critical infrastructure and essential guest and operational services, including a kitchen, staff accommodation, staff mess, resort laundry, a garage, a staff recreation area, and a guests’ squash court — all of which are integral to the resort’s daily operations.
Kaimoo has consistently engaged with the Ministry of Tourism over the years and has proactively proposed solutions to find a way forward that supports both the resort’s operations and the development goals of Addu City.
We remain committed to working closely with the Ministry of Tourism to reach a fair and timely resolution, and we are confident that a collaborative approach will lead to an outcome that benefits everyone.
