
Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) is participating in ITB India 2026 from 1 to 3 September 2026 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, engaging with travel trade representatives from India and South Asia.
Visit Maldives is joined by 17 co-exhibitors representing the tourism and aviation sectors at ITB India 2026. The stand provides a platform for Visit Maldives and industry partners to engage with travel agents, tour operators, corporate travel managers, MICE planners and other industry stakeholders through one-to-one business meetings and trade activities.
At ITB India 2026, the Maldives stand serves as a platform for Visit Maldives and its co-exhibitors to engage with the travel trade partners through one-to-one business meetings and share destination information and promotional materials. The stand also features promotional videos and a dedicated photo backdrop. Visitors at the stand will be invited to participate in a trade survey to share insights on market trends, travel preferences and booking behaviour, with participants eligible for a raffle giveaway.
Participation at ITB India forms part of Visit Maldives’ ongoing engagement with the Indian travel trade. Current and planned activities include joint marketing campaigns with leading tour operators, a joint marketing programme with IndiGo, familiarisation trips for media and influencers, and activities conducted in collaboration with the High Commission of the Republic of Maldives in India.
India remains an important source market for the Maldives, with 131,625 Indian arrivals recorded in 2025 and 74,173 arrivals recorded as of 10 August 2026. Through its participation at ITB India 2026, Visit Maldives promotes the Maldives as a holiday destination to Indian and South Asian travel trade, while engaging with industry partners and gathering insights into evolving travel preferences and booking trends.
