Kamadhoo Inn has received three awards at the MIB Guesthouse Symposium & Awards 2026, held on 15 October 2026, in recognition of its commitment to authentic Maldivian tourism, meaningful island experiences, and environmental responsibility.
The guesthouse received the Authentic Maldivian Experience Award, the Island Excursions & Experiences Award, and the Eco-Friendly Award.
For Kamadhoo Inn, the recognition reflects a vision of tourism that goes beyond accommodation, offering visitors the opportunity to discover and respect the Maldives through its local culture, island life, and extraordinary marine environment.

Located on Kamadhoo in Baa Atoll, the guesthouse aims to give guests a genuine insight into the Maldivian way of life. Through guided land and sea excursions, snorkeling experiences that encourage the respectful discovery of marine life, and opportunities to connect with the local community during cooking classes with local women, traditional lunches in local homes, and informative island tours exploring the local flora, fauna and customs, guests are invited to discover local life and the authentic Maldives beyond the traditional resort experience.
Environmental responsibility is equally central to the guesthouse’s philosophy. Surrounded by a fragile tropical ecosystem, Kamadhoo Inn believes that tourism must go hand in hand with preserving and protecting the natural environment and the marine life that makes the Maldives unique.
“These awards mean a great deal to us because they reflect the values behind everything we do. We want our guests to experience the authentic Maldives, discover and respect our local culture, and appreciate the beauty of our islands and its precious underwater world. At the same time, we believe it is our responsibility to protect this environment for future generations,” said Abdulla Naseef, guesthouse operator from Kamadhoo Inn.

The team also acknowledged the dedication of its staff, whose hard work, genuine care, and warm hospitality contribute every day to creating memorable experiences for guests.
As tourism continues to play an important role in the Maldivian economy, Kamadhoo Inn hopes its recognition will highlight the value of community-based tourism that celebrates local traditions while encouraging greater commitment and dedication to preserving the natural environment and the local culture.”
