The Government of the Maldives has announced new regulations regarding vaporizer products, which will apply to everyone in the country, including visitors. These measures are part of the government’s efforts to promote public health.
•November 15, 2024: A ban on the import of vaporizer devices, accessories, and parts will come into effect.
•December 15, 2024: The ban will extend to the possession, use, manufacturing, sale, promotion, and free distribution of vaporizer devices. This applies to both residents and visitors across the country.
Tourists are not allowed to bring vaporizers into the Maldives. However, if you arrive with a vaporizer device, you will not be penalized or denied entry. Your vaporizer will be confiscated at the border and returned to you when you depart the country.
All travelers to the Maldives are kindly requested to adhere to these regulations during their stay. Compliance will be expected from all individuals, with enforcement in place throughout the country.
