Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/ Visit Maldives) along with 17 co-exhibitors from the Maldives tourism industry is thrilled to announce that we are promoting the Maldives at KITF (Kazakhstan International Travel Fair) 2024. The fair is being held from 24- 26 April in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
KITF, one of the premier tourism events in Central Asia, has been held since 2001. The fair offers a comprehensive platform for industry professionals across the region and is considered to be the pinnacle event of the sector in Kazakhstan.
MMPRC’s participation at KITF aligns perfectly with our strategic goals to strengthen the Maldives’ presence as a top destination. Throughout the fair, MMPRC and industry partners aim to forge valuable connections with potential agents and buyers from Kazakhstan and the Central Asian region, further showcasing the unique offerings of the Maldives to a targeted audience. We will provide the latest information about the Maldives, highlighting the diverse products, experiences, and segments of our destination to attract more visitors. By showcasing the Maldives’ unique blend of nature, conservation, and sustainable experiences, we aim to solidify the Maldives’ position as the most preferred holiday destination.
The Maldives stand at KITF 2024 embodies the essence of the Sunny Side of Life. Every detail is meticulously crafted to immerse visitors in the diverse offerings of the Maldives, from romantic escapes to breathtaking seascapes and rich cultural experiences. Visitors to the Maldives stand can engage with the Russian and CIS travel trade to learn more about the destination and explore partnership opportunities. They can also access destination information through various channels, including QR Codes incorporated in the artworks displayed throughout the fair. Additionally, we will also distribute press packs containing the latest updates about the Maldives and highlights from our travel and hospitality partners. As a memento of the fair, we are also offering beautiful calligraphy bookmarks, a touch of Maldivian culture to take home. Moreover, promotional videos are being displayed on the LED screen to capture visitors’ attention, ensuring the Maldives remains at the forefront of tourism preferences.
As of 16th April 2024, the Maldives has welcomed 68,919 tourists from Russia. The CIS region is a significant region for Maldives tourism industry, notably with Russia holding its position as the second top source market to the Maldives in 2024 thus far. MMPRC conducts various marketing activities in the CIS market. We took part in the Moscow Dive Show earlier this year and have planned several marketing activities in this region to market and further promote the destination. An year-long social media campaign is also being carried out to Increase our destination awareness in the market and maintain visibility.
