Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/ Visit Maldives) is representing Destination Maldives in the TTG Travel Experience 2024, taking place from the 9th to the 11th of October in Rimini, Italy. MMPRC, in collaboration with 64 representatives from 25 companies, is actively promoting the Maldives as a leading travel destination in the Italian market during this event.
As the premier travel trade event in Italy, TTG Travel Experience gathers international operators and key industry players, including tourism boards, tour operators, travel agents, airlines, and accommodation providers. As Italy has historically been one of the Maldives’ most traditional and significant source markets, MMPRC’s presence at this event is crucial in ensuring the country remains a top-of-mind destination for Italian travellers.
MMPRC is engaging in a variety of activities at the Maldives stand, enhancing destination awareness through direct interactions with stakeholders such as travel agents, tour operators, and media representatives. Our participation also provides a platform for industry partners to share the latest updates on their properties and services.
Italy has consistently maintained its position as one of the largest source markets for the Maldives, contributing 106,946 arrivals as of 01st October 2024. MMPRC’s promotional efforts for this market include media and influencer familiarisation trips and digital media campaigns, all aimed at increasing destination awareness and maintaining the Maldives’ as a favourite destination for Italian travellers. Looking forward, MMPRC has exciting initiatives on the horizon, including the “Discover Maldives Webinar Series: Italy Edition,” along with many more activities planned.
