
The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands has announced the appointments of Frédéric Marti as Resort Manager and João Miguel Pais as Director of Food and Beverage, adding to its senior leadership team.
Frédéric Marti brings over 20 years of experience in luxury hospitality, having worked across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. His background includes leadership roles in high-end resorts and dining operations, with a focus on day-to-day management, team development and operational performance.
Most recently based in the Maldives, he was responsible for overseeing resort operations, including rooms, food and beverage, and guest services. His experience also includes the introduction of new dining concepts, sustainability initiatives and improvements in operational efficiency.
In his role as Resort Manager, he will be responsible for overseeing overall resort operations, with a focus on maintaining service standards and supporting team performance.
João Miguel Pais joins with international experience in food and beverage management, having worked in Spain, Portugal and Angola. His career has involved overseeing a range of dining operations, including restaurants, bars, beach clubs, large-scale events and in-room dining.
Prior to this appointment, he was based in Spain, where he managed food and beverage operations at a luxury hotel, overseeing multiple outlets and large teams. His work has included a focus on staff training, cost management and maintaining service standards, supported by experience in Michelin-starred environments.
At the resort, he will lead all food and beverage operations, with responsibility for overseeing dining concepts and service delivery across outlets.
The appointments reflect the resort’s continued focus on operational management and guest experience within the context of a competitive luxury hospitality market.
