Ifuru Island Maldives has introduced a limited-edition lifestyle collection in collaboration with Maldivian brand Toddy, combining contemporary design with local storytelling. The collection comprises sunglasses, quick-dry beach towels, and lenticular postcards, each reflecting aspects of Maldivian island life.
The Ifuru x Toddy sunglasses take inspiration from the vibrant colours of the Maldivian reef and parrotfish. The Mas (Ainu) shades feature polarised TAC lenses with anti-glare technology and UV400 protection, paired with lightweight, flexible frames designed to resist saltwater corrosion.
The quick-dry beach towels incorporate the resort’s signature three-palm motif and are made from absorbent microfiber. They are lightweight, compact, and feature sand-resistant technology for practical use in outdoor settings.
The lenticular postcards offer a visual representation of the island’s changing light, shifting from daylight to sunset tones, and provide an interactive keepsake capturing the essence of island life.
Marcel Sawyer, General Manager of Ifuru Island Maldives, commented that the collaboration highlights local creativity and allows guests to engage with the destination in a tangible way.
Toddy, founded by siblings Fayaz and Riyaz, draws on Maldivian cultural narratives and maritime traditions to create designs that reflect both heritage and contemporary aesthetics. Riyaz noted that the collaboration aimed to translate the island’s atmosphere into wearable and functional pieces, offering guests a connection to their experience on the island.
The Ifuru x Toddy collection is available exclusively at Ifuru Island Maldives.
